Your Acupuncturist:
Seán O'Neill
Despite being Dublin born and bred I've always had an interest in various disciplines from China, primarily Acupuncture, but also including Feng Shui
and T’ai Chi. A number of my T’ai Chi teachers were also Classical Five-Element Acupuncturists. I decided to receive treatment in acupuncture to experience it for myself
before formal study.
My personal experience of the very positive benefits of Classical Five-Element Acupuncture (CF-EA) treatment spurred me on to formal study. I subsequently
undertook a lot of travel and qualified from the College of Traditional Acupuncture (UK) with a Licentiate in Acupuncture (Lic. Ac.) and a B.A. (Hons) in Traditional Acupuncture
from Oxford Brookes University.
Professional Acupuncture Care
I am a fully licensed Acupuncturist and hold a B.A. (Hons) degree in Traditional Acupuncture. I am a member of, and adhere to, the professional
standards of the British Acupuncture Council (BAcC).
The BAcC maintains common standards of education, ethics, discipline and practice to ensure the health and safety of the public at all times.
British Acupuncture Council (BAcC) members have an extensive training in acupuncture (to undergraduate
degree level) and in biomedical sciences appropriate to the practice of acupuncture in the UK and Ireland. As well as being covered by full
Medical Malpractice and Public/ Products Liability Insurance, BAcC members are bound by codes of professional conduct and safe practice.
I consider myself very fortunate to have been introduced to Classical Five-Element Acupuncture (CF-EA) which at my Five Element Acupuncture Dublin practice continues to amaze me with its ability to help
people relieve their suffering. I attend Seminars and Observation Days with J. B. Worsley, the current Master of Classical Five Element Acupuncture, as part of my on-going continual professional development as an Acupuncturist.
In the words of Professor J.R. Worsley:
The practitioner is a servant of Nature, labouring on behalf of all her children, as a humble instrument assisting restoration of balance and
harmony in body, mind and spirit.
I've been a student of T'ai Chi since 1987 with the School of T'ai Chi Chuan which was founded by Professor Patrick Watson. I've been a teacher of
T'ai Chi since 1996 and apart from family life and Acupuncture, I am kept busy running a T'ai Chi school with other teachers in Dublin.
